I would like to duplicate the Milwaukee loco I saw at the 2016 Chicago show. It was streaked from having blacked out portions of the shell where the logos were then decaled with SOO LINE. I have the GP38 already painted in Milwaukee colors in ScaleCoat II colors. My question is how to streak the black, what paint to use, etc. Ideas Please.  I tried to down load the photo but the Luddite would not let mre figure it out.

Thanks in advance.

Dick,

That being said, it would seem like you need some black patches.  Then a series of washes and maybe even a little dry brush to get the bleed through paint, rust, oil and grime streaks.   Did the Milwaukee units have all weather windows or did they replace a couple of the cab windows with sheet metal?   That's also a neat effect depending on the era you're trying to capture.
