Only the scale Hudson and FMs required O31 or larger from the PW era. It was in the mid 90s that Lionel started publishing min curve diameters in the catalogs in response to more scale-sized offerings. Fortunately most of the owners manuals are on-line at the Lionel web site so if in doubt you can look it up.
Interesting. I looked in the catalog and in the owners manual for the set and there is no track requirement listed. Since these are essentially the same cab/chassis as the 50's F3's, 027?
Jeff, the F3's would run on 0-27 but 0-31 would be better. On Lionel 0-27 switches the fuel tanks would rub against the motor housing going through the curved track on the switches but not on the Lionel 0-31 switches........Paul
