NO random crew talk when in neutral, even for 10-15 minutes!

Any way to "trigger" such sounds in conventional mode?

Motor sounds, PFA sounds, whistle, bell, and brake sounds all work fine.

Would a total reset solve this problem?

Hi guys,

I don't know this for sure, but I think MTH may have set the cab chatter "OFF" on these engines as shipped.  A lot of 2-railers, especially in Europe, don't like the automatic cab chatter.  You may/should be able to turn the cab chatter on with a conventional mode reset of 1 whistle/5 bells.  I haven't received a Croc yet, so I can't confirm this information.  It's only an educated guess.

Nope. It would probably be in Schwytzerduetsch - a Swiss-German dialect. I have the modern Swiss Cargo electric and that's what mine has. It is a very difficult dialect to understand. I speak German, and I couldn't make head or tail of it, and I had a club member who is a native speaker of German listen to it, and he didn't understand it either.

Agreed, cab chatter is cheesy and annoying. I played mine to find out what language it was in, if it would be regular German or Schwyzerdeutsch, and to see if I could understand it. I detest cab chatter, especially the TMCC version that plays at the same time as PSA, so it ruins the PSA effect and you can't turn it off with a TMCC remote (I think there may be a way to turn it off in Legacy, which I don't have.)

Yes it is in Schwytzerduetsch..if remember properly, forum member Stefan Burki was involved in the recording...

I see cab chatter as pure fun...kind of cheesy...specially the last sentence on the croc with the "sputnik" brakeman complaining that the engineer is driving to fast..LOL...like everything else if people like them, use it, if not well don't..

Just received the Taurus Electrics and I have not heard any cab chatter in neutral. The PFA and start up is fine and of course it is in German. Wish my grandmother was around since she was born near Hamburg and spoke native German. She could translate it for me. But to me it really does not matter. It's a great engine  with good sounds and the German language is something different to hear instead of English.
