Anyone else’s collection look like this? I’ve always had trouble deciding which “group/version” of model trains to collect and I still haven’t decided 😉. I hope I haven’t angered anyone, I know you typically don’t see a 2-rail KTM engine parked on Lionel super O, or Russian Moskabel running by a plasticville motel or French JEP engine. Nevermind the German Fleischmann sharing trackage with the Virginian. I’m sure it was prototypical at one point 😁

Looks good to me
I say go for it. I've got Hornby, Bing, Bassett Lowke, Lionel, MTH, Weaver, Williams, Right of Way, Minitoy, and Western Hobbycraft all operating on the layouts together with stations by Lionel, Kibri, Cabo, Fandor, Dorfan, Hornby, Bing and Marklin. You can see all this stuff at

I definitely envy your collection, it’s spectacular! I hope to add some Basset Lowke and Marklin to my collection in the future, they made some beautiful stuff.
My small layout at one time had H0, S, O and Std Gauge. Even my H0 was tin.

Highly recommended if you like stations. If you are getting off the train at Schneiderville, you have a choice of at least five stations within two train lengths - maybe more, I lost count as I was getting on and off his train.

At least its all the same gauge track.
Try running Z, N, HO, HOn3, HOn30, S, O 2rail, O27, O 3rail, On3, On30, Standard Gauge, G and 1 Gauge on the same Layout.
No, I have not done it yet, but I would like to.
So far just Standard Gauge, O 3 rail, O 2 rail, HO, and On30.

Don’t forget OO! Gotta have that represented too of course.
Let's see, I have the following themes/collections:
Alaska
American Freedom Train (just ordered the Preamble Express to be added in Nov)
Amtrak
Boy Scouts
Civil War
General Electric Evolution Hybrid (GEVO) (only a loco and 2 rolling stock)
Holidays
"I Love USA" (not all 50 cars; only 5!)
"Joshua Lionel Cowen" Series
K-Line Loves (States)
Lionel
Midwest
NASA
Pacific Northwest
Presidential Collection (Lionel boxcars; just a few)
Spirit of '76
State Quarter Series (again only 4 to match the "I Love the USA boxcar series)
US Air Force/Military/Veterans
World War II
Not collecting all in each series/themes; only those that interest me.
You can see my entire collection here (not current as I keep adding items!): http://dog-walker.org/trains-modern.htm
I can see this getting way out of hand......
I do not respond to what some deem prototypical perfection. I build and run what I like the way I like and find it very enjoyable.
Running both AC & DC track powered 2 rail. Battery 2 rail, PW & late three rail. Early and late steam and diesel, mainline and local trains. Point to point and loop. Its all good.
I have, and run, "O", "S", "N" and Standard gauge trains.
Mostly Lionel Post War, some modern with the Post War look, some Marx, some Pre War Flyer O gauge, some Pre war Lionel O gauge, some American Flyer S gauge, a little Aurora "Postage Stamp" N gauge (as an amusement park ride), a little MTH O gauge (subway) and Pre War Lionel Standard gauge
