Hi everyone, has anyone used the Model Power HO IRS on fire on an O gauge layout?

I ask because the given dimensions of 11" H x 10W x 6"D  compares favorably to the new Woodland Scenics Built up buildings which are O gauge. The building is three stories like the Woodland Scenics J.R. Cobbler building.

The building is found at: http://www.modelpower.com/Prod....asp?ProductCode=470

Thanks,

Banjoflyer

Where did you get the dimensions you reference?  The link you provided just lists it as HO scale.  I really don't think it's 11 inches high.  the other 2 dimensions might be reasonable.

I had one of these for HO and I believe it would look severely undersized on an O gauge layout unless you were to put it far away and try to use forced perspective. (and then obviously not run any trains right by it).

I'm saying this from memory, but as an estimate, I'd say it's probably around the same height as a Lionel Postwar 445 switch tower.

Hi Dave, thanks for the reply. The dimensions were listed in the Holiday 2012 Historic Rail (page 52) magazine that probably all the train guys get in the mail .

I too thought the listed dimensions seemed oversized (especially the height) but couldn't find any other listing that showed other dimensions.

I'm sure it would be too small for O gauge.

Thanks for your help.

Mark
