Modeling the 8-axle KRL #70946 86 foot heavy duty flatcar
This 8-axle flatcar has a 70 foot deck and a capacity of 460,0000 pounds. It is owned by Kasgro Rail.
The O scale model has an overall length of 20 inches. The model uses 4 pair of two-axle roller bearing trucks. The truck bolsters are articulated to allow operation on small radius curves. This model is very similar to the KRL 12-axle flatcar (series 127001 ).

That is a good looking car. The red color looks a lot nicer in person. I saw 4 of those Kasgro cars at close range just before they were loaded with narrow-gauge export locomotives at the EMD facility in Muncie, IN.
I found this book on Amazon dedicated to these Kasgro cars. I added it to my wish list after my visit to EMD & might buy it next year.
