Modern Lionel Repro Boxes

I would not mind a box and internal packing for the scale Reading T-1 released around 1998 or 1999.

east coast train parts use to have boxes, they use to come up to New York State Fairgrounds and the Syracuse NY train show in Nov.

Havent seen them in awhile so im not sure what they carry or if they even attend the Syracuse Train show.

Thanks but unfortunately East Coast only carries post war train boxes.  I need one to fit a modern era engine/tender and its styrofoam insert.

Making one with a heavy poster board is really pretty easy. Though they might be out of orange this month  🎃

Measure twice, use a square, and fold against a good edge. No free hand!

Measure 1/32-1/64" oversize. You want the foam to have room to go in.

A razor and a square/straight edge will give better looking, uniform edges, especially on lengths. (cheat with scissors in the corners )

Put an ad in the wanted section.

There's usually a thread on OGR about people throwing their boxes away or burning them, (followed by the politically correct global warming chastisement).

I've made boxes before but would much rather buy a box from a similar engine that someone is discarding ( also saves the planet).
