Does anyone know if the old MTH Blue Comet (brass) passenger cars will definitely match their latest engine?

The 2016 Tinplate catalog has a 400E in two tone blue w/ brass.  However, they didn't offer the brass trim cars to go with it.  I've found three different old car sets on the MTH website.  The pictures are horrible so I can't really go by those.

Yeah, I've been staring at those images but you know how it goes.  You can talk yourself into/out of anything after a while.  As you know, the sets are pretty pricey.  I hate to take a big $ gamble.

Best to put them side by side

Obviously, I would like to see them side by side.  While I see them for sale online all the time, I've never seen one in person.  So if I ever want a set, I think I'll be forced to buy it online.  I guess a better question would be:

Does anyone have one of these sets and what is your opinion?  I'm not getting out a loupe and looking at minute variations.  I just want to know if MTH has been using the same paint over the years.  I know the prewar sets have several pretty dramatic differences.  Thanks.

Gentlemen,

The old Lionel colors are slightly different and varied even when new, IMO they will look great together no matter the slight color difference.

Tin Plate rolling stock Coloring varies even in the Lionel originals, note the 2 original Yellow and Brown Lionel Box Cars pictured below.  Identical Lionel Cars and the paint actually varies a little.
