Grasp handle hub, pull off. It comes straight off, no magic.

so it just pulls right off thank you so much so glad i joined this forum
Well, when I looked at mine, and then pulled it off, that's how it worked. The old PW-ZW required a #4-40 screw to "push" the handle off, this one just slides off.
John
Thanks I have also wondered how to get it off on the the modern ZW-C. I just wish they had a medal plate for the pot's to bolt to where the shafts go thru the plastic holder.
I have the Power War Celebration Series ZW-C, and there are no screw threads in the small hole in the handle. There is a hole, but no threads, it's smooth.
do you mean there the pot bracket bolts too
There is a medal bracket at the bottom where the plastic housing screws to the plate but what i am saying is the housing that holds the two pot's one for the handle and the other is for the inter ring control. The issue is that that plastic piece gives somewhat and also I found that one of my pot's was not tight because the shaft was not long enough and the nut would not tighten up so I had to remove the washer(to get more thread) and then tighten it up enough to hold. Just some small issues but I still like the transformer.
oh ok i am having a similar issue where the shaft for the pot is loose and its pulling away from gear looks like i need a new pot and gear
Just make sure that the shaft is tight it might be the washer issues. Here the part I am talking about. The black plastic hold the pots.

I think that black plastic piece is subject to breaking, that's one problem area if you aren't gentle with the throttles.
John I do agree with you on that issue. It seems that is a weak point on the throttles and wish it were metal.
Perhaps a marketing opportunity for someone, make a metal replacement.
