I picked up the engine for a good price but the module to program the legacy control system was missing and a few other things. Can someone either tell me how to program the engine without the module or can they send me the module which I will return and transfer the data to a blank module I have.

You can program everything you need from the Legacy Remote or using the LCS (Legacy System Utility) connected to your Legacy command base. Here's a video from Dave Olsen on how to set them up manually.
You'll want to be aware that #6-28051 is the original TMCC version of the EM-1 that was cataloged in 2000. It doesn't have Legacy and didn't come with a memory module. Still, it's a beautiful, great-running locomotive.
In any event, as John said, you can enter the engine info into your Legacy remote manually.
Enjoy your new engine!
Gunnerjohn,
Thanks for the video. Ill use it once I get a chance to get it out and on the layout.
Keith L,
I agree it doesnot have legacy but it has odessy speed control. That was what was in the liitle module to insert into the base to be read. Since Gunner provided a work around it should work. Thanks for the help.

FWIW, the memory module has nothing to do with the Odyssey system. The module was just a handy way to add Legacy engine info into the Legacy system. I believe--someone can correct me if I'm wrong--the Odyssey system was part of the motor driver board.
Kieth L,
I thought that the module had something to do with the Odyssey. I stand corrected.
