Lionel has posted on their Facebook page (Facebook) that they spent two days last week (June 7 and 8) at the Chicagoland Lionel Railroad Club doing more Base3 BETA testing. I'm not sure, but I think the CLRC may have the largest O gauge club layout in the country.
The post states:
"Successful testing means we're about ready to wrap this project up and get it shipped out to you later this year!"
Do any CLRC members have more details to share?

I think the NJ-HR club give you a run for your money as far as layout size. 
According to the Chicagoland club's website, the room their layout is in measures 60x60 feet.

Not in the same ballpark as NJ Hi-Railers (layout approx. 30x185 feet, room 50x250).

I kinda' thought that, but 60 x 60 is a respectable layout, I wish I had one like that! 
CLRC - 3600 sq. ft
NJHR - 5550 sq. ft
I want to personally to thank the folks that are allowing Lionel into their clubs for testing. It certain is appreciated.
Hopefully they get a free unit or two for helping test😃

Agreed. I had posted a reply in a FB group saying how this is good thing happening even though I haven't ordered one as of yet. Who knows though.

We have over 7000ft of track. By that measure I think we're it!
Either way it's great to see Lionel thoroughly testing the Base3. I for one can't wait to get our hands on an officially released version.
Lionel can feel free to test on my layout haha it's unfinished with questionable wiring. The Base 3 will work anywhere if it works here!
I'm glad to see it being tested too. Hopefully they have thought of everything and have a perfectly smooth launch! Best of luck to them and all the quick adopters!

As the OP, I didn't intend this to be a thread about who has the largest layout. I don't understand why the thread went that way, but if that's what people care about . . .
My point in referencing the huge size of the CLRC layout was to indicate that the BETA testing was being done on a very large and complex layout. I was hoping--and still am--that some members of the CLRC will chime in with their observations on how the testing went. That's what I care about.
