MTH 20-3797-1 & 20-3798-1 - Sound Files

Hi did you try a feature reset I have seen no volume and feature reset restored audio back ! also are you turned the volume up from remote . did you try to run in conventional ?

You can try copying files from 20-3598-1. Its the previous run on them and they sound great, almost the same with the new run. This should hold over til the filea come up on the site. As for the smoking whistle, idk if that has an effect or not with these files, as they are audio files.

If the sounds do not come back after loading the sound files you may want to have the boards checked out on a PS-3 Test assembly.  Hope for the best.

Chances are on the newer units the Molex connection between the speaker and harness is not very good.  If moving that wire restores sounds, need to replace with an older wire.  G

Alan - Yes, did the feature and factory resets multiple times.

Allan - 20-3598-1, is a O Scale Premier 0-4-0 A-5 Switcher Steam Engine, not a Berkshire so your number maybe wrong. 20-3798 - no sound files posted and that is the 2 Rail version.

Bruce - Don't have the test tool / assembly.

GGG - My next step is to take it apart as see if there is a loose connection. Thanks for the wiring tip.
