I assume this catalog will come out next week or the last week of April?
Last year the MTH premier catalog came out the Thursday of York. Hopefully my will do the same this year but I can wait as MTH does not seem to issue any new models lately.
Here are a couple of color pics of the CPR Royal Hudson. Would be nice to have a "Standard" version of the # 2850 and # 2860 as well

I think they usually post it on the website Wednesday morning. I think they start giving them out at the TCA Museum that day. I remember years ago, before I started going to York, the catalog wouldn't be posted online for a week or so after York. It was a long week for us "Non-Yorkers". I've now smartened up and go to York!
I know I might be dreaming but would love to see MTH come out with the Amtrak ACS-64 electric locomotive.

Originally they were posting the catalog online the Monday after York but since Lionel jumped the gun on them a few years ago it was on the day before or first day of York.

Hoping MTH changed their mind about the cancelled Hudson from the 2016 catalog. Got he CP passenger cars, sitting motionless on a siding, waiting.

Many went on to serve with other railroads and industrials. Some were also done for other Class 1 railroads too.
Always found the IC rebuilds like that intruiging. I second!
I'd like to see European engines but in Railking Imperial. I would gladly buy a Swiss Crocodile or the Oriental Express passenger cars if they worked on O-31 track. Even more unlikely, but I would love to see them do the Mallard (in Railking).

Not likely, as the vast majority of European modelers demand only full scale, for them, fidelity.

I remember seeing a GP9Rm in Homewood back in 2008. It would be nice is MTH did some low nose GP9 locomotives because a lot of railroads had various rebuilt versions that they did to extend the life of the locomotive. Many class 1 and short lines had these locomotives so MTH could easily do a couple runs of them to make back the cost of the new tooling.
I'd like to see them make some of the Southern Pacific locomotives with the Vandy tender, such as the Pacifics and Mikados. I know Sunset 3rd rail made them...I'd like to see someone else make them. Matt
I have a MTH Z6 challenger. Is the tender that it uses also considered a Vandy style?

Could that be used for the SP models??

They'd sell a boat load of those!!!
I can dream for sure
Re-Issue of the New Jersey Transit ALP46, been trying (and failing) to find one since I got the cars
Amtrak ACS-64 In veterans and phase 5, If they ever do this, it will be when the Septa ones arrive so they can do more models
Also, more intermodal cars, and of course
VIEWLINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As always, Philadelphia Subway cars in Railking.
Viewliners >>==========Viewliners
The theory that an Amtrak only set of cars will not sell, does not hold up. Amfleet is Amtrak only and MTH has sold and resold these numerous times and even made commuter schemes which never appeared on Amfleet in reality.
Lionel made the HHP-8 which was an Amtrak & MARC rail locomotive and never even bothered to offer them in MARC colors.
Viewliners will sell better than they expect! I would bet on this !

Be nice if they would make this even though they would be playing catch-up to Lionel! This would complement the original NS OCS set. But no way Mike W. will spend money to make money.
All I can say is Rocky Mountaineer is gonna be happy!

I was thinking the same thing but I have my doubts that you will see this in the catalog.
Charlie when you say RockyMountaineer is gonna be happy I'm guessing you mean everything is 50% cheaper and will arrive next week
Speaking for myself as a true O scale modeler, I generally only view one - three pages of cars and engines in the entire catalog. Everything else is irrelevant.
New tooling will definitely get my attention if it ever happens to fall into the proper modeling time period.

No Matt, but he might like to view the new diesel line up!
Off to York!
I did see that when I was perusing the dealer price sheet. Nothing for me but there sure is a solid lineup of products in this one
I stand corrected, there is a train in there for me and I will order it. I'm really excited to see that one
I saw some stuff VistadomeScott really wants too
Okay you insiders; when do the rest of us get to see it?
How can I become an insider?????
Get a job at a hobby store

I'm guessing this train is going to be offered which might also mean that new GP40's (-2's) will be in the catalog. If scale wheel Chessie GP40's (-2's) are being done I will probably preorder 2.

Then they should already have the new catalogs. If you are a full time employee, you should have already been viewing the new catalogs.
Hot water,
I was just kidding around. During the summer I hang around and do petty tasks for Joey, and have price-gun tag fights with him.

You get PAID for THAT???????
In the words of Joey: "I'll pay you with a smack in the ***!"
Seriously, who said anything about payment?
Joey abuses me too except I pay him so I'm the sucker there
I still hold out hope for a re-issue of the Staten Island ALCo S-2, "with the talkin' an' everything."

Thanks for the link. Maybe because I'm moving and money is flowing like wine - but my wallet is pretty safe from this catalog.
