did you do a feature reset from the dcs remote ? then do a factory reset from remote afterwards ? I have seen this work where smoke was not even working and some lights and then restored board to full operation with NO issues !

also did you try a different sound file maybe the wrong one is in the board!

Look through the scrolling feature list when you select ..MORE.. on the remote.  If you don't see anything there, try looking in MENU, CONTROL for the ditch lights, they are frequently used to light the number boards.

I have had this work for me as well.

I will look for "ditch lights" first. If that doesn't work I will try the feature reset-factory reset in that order. I did the resets in the reverse order last night (prior to the reset the smoke was not working). Sound file is correct for the three cylinder chuff.

Update... Found the ditch lights, that didn’t turn on the #boards.

Features reset the factory reset with DCS didn’t work either.

Thanks for the advice. I am leaning toward taking the boiler off and doing some investigation. Plug first, apply 1.5 volts to plug to see if the boards actually light up and go from there. Still seems like i am missing a on/off button. Nothing in the manual for this option.
