MTH 400E w/ Protosounds with CW-180 wont run. | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi guys. I recently picked up a 400E and 9E with Protosounds 1. For some reason I can't get it to run. It seems like it will cycle through but not run. This does it on both engines. Also the bell works but not the Whistle/Horn. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Thanks! I tried it earlier. Maybe I had it wired wrong. The whistle didn't seem to work either.

hello

I have a mth 400e blue comet with the ps1 and if the battery is dead it will not run. are new or used have they sat a long time you can leave it on the track power up the track not running for a while to charge the battery if it still will not run get a new mth battery for them you can find them on ebay

Try reversing the wires between the outside rail and center rail. Use a lighted lock-on. Also, make sure the battery is charged at least 10 hours.

The sound chips on PS1 boards can fail if you use them with a dead battery. Are you hearing bells or clanks? See this post.
