Stlll stuck ..need some help guys. Have tried everything- recharging the battery (6 hours)/ new BCR2 system alternate install made no difference.  The engine sits on the track in neutral- cab chatter, engine sounds, smoke, lights, but won't go into forward or reverse. Posting some pictures with the lid off. Checked all the connections-nothing loose.  Wondering if it is the white stuff that looks like shiny silicone could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

The white stuff is silicone used to hold the jumper in place.  Normal.

The inductor on the power board close to the edge appears damaged.  It looks like the core is missing.  Will this affect operation?  Maybe.

What transformer are you using?  In conventional, if you press the horn button, does it sound?  Likewise, if you press the bell button, does it sound?  If they do, can you do a reset of 1 horn followed by 5 bells, 1/2 a second apart with a confirmation two horn blasts, if successful.  May take multiple tries as timing is critical.

If no to any of the above, take it to an ASC and have the top power board replaced and test again.

Top board originally retailed for $60, if you can find one.  It just plugs into the bottom board after removing the battery harness and power/tach plug from the top board.  Check with your local Authorized Service Center.

Strongly suggest you bring it to an ASC so that they can test it with a known good top board.  If the bottom board is bad, no use in waisting your money on a top board..
