I just had a question on this tender I have the original one that was issued back in about 2003 I think. It's the one with the flag and the Let's Roll on the side. does the new one that MTH just reissued have the flag and the let's roll on the side also. I was selling mine and I was asked that question and I don't know what the answer is because I have not seen the new one in person.

The new one from MTH does have the American flag, Lets Roll and the Santa Fe logo on it. I picked up the new one to complete the BNSF Dealer Appreciation set.

According to what Mike Wolf told me at the Fall York show, the latest offering of the red ,white and blue tender, did not have the words printed on it.
For what it's worth, the American Freedom Train never had an auxiliary water tender.
The GS4 didn't, but I thought the T1 did?

I don't know much about the former Reading T1 on the AFT, as I was only involved with the GS-4. Also, the description of the auxiliary water tender in the original posters question, specifically the black version with the "Lets Roll" on the side, is solely related to the GS-4. The matching auxiliary water tender (a former SP cab forward tender, #4219) for the SP 4449 was made for the 1984 New Orleans Worlds Fair Daylight train.
Thank you for all your help. I know it's a fantasy tender but I liked it when it came out so I bought it. Now I'm selling off my trains and I was asked that question but had no answer. Now I do thank you for your help
