Just curious if MTH made a B unit or a trailing unit or what ever you would call it to ride behind the P42 locomotive? Thank you in advance for any information.

Get another P42.
The GE Genesis series locomotives were only built as cab units (P32, P40 & P42). Amtrak typically runs them elephant style when multiple units are used, but they also can be seen running back-to-back. Depending on your layout grades and the length of your train, you can probably find a dummy unit to go with the powered one, but you may consider adding a powered unit and running them in "lash-up" mode using DCS.
thank you for the info and yes I do have two locomotives. I was just wondering because I saw some in a photo with a unit behind that wasn’t a locomotive. So I thought I would ask. Thanks again
@PH1975 posted:@GG1 4877 - Your response has raised a question in my mind - Do you know if MTH originally offered 'unpowered' Genesis units?
MTH cataloged a few Premier non-powered Genesis locomotives:
20-2459-3 (#825) and 20-2722-3 (#838) Amtrak Phase III
20-2723-3 (#813) Amtrak Phase IV
20-2528-3 (#193) Amtrak Phase V (Uncataloged custom run for Walthers)
20-2460-3 (#906) and 20-2725-3 (#915) VIA Rail
20-2461-3 (#232) and 20-2800-3 (#231) New Haven

It's not that uncommon for a RR to run dissimilar locomotives in an MU, so maybe the secondary locomotive was a totally different type.
Yes from the pictures I have seen you are correct. Thank you
