These are scale proportioned, except they are about 3/4" too long to be full scale. Why? This tooling dates back 20+ years, and back then, more room was needed for the larger electronics. Still, it is a nice model, and it will negotiate 0-27 curves MTH is telling use to get orders in within a week, so if u want one, order it now.

I'm sure with a little elbow grease these can be 2-railed.

If you;re going to 2 rail an SW8/9/1200, use an Atlas SW or Williams NW-2. They are more to scale. Its still a ton of work, IMHO.

You have to "click" on the specific engine at Beth's link to get more info on it.
