So I hinted a few years ago that I was thinking about it. I told the Mrs. and again reminded her a couple of times now. It took longer to get delivered and I thought that would have helped. So the other day when I pre-warned her about a package coming she acted like she didn't know???
The grandson called dibs on visiting as soon as it arrives.
It's too big to hide??? I may need a bigger table to fit dinner on around this new center piece.
kind of looks like the UP Challenger though, right?

Joe, judging by the size of the table I would venture a guess that that engine is G scale? And, even if it's O scale I can only say one thing WOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!

Yowser, yowser, yowser!!! I guess it is 1:32 scale running on 45mm track. Is it AC or DC and can you run it outdoors?
Yes, AC or DC, and Yes.
Also runs with DCS and DCC onboard.
Here's the operating officer at work, I took time off...
I may need to go inside this engine again. He's pretty happy to leave the fill plug off of the smoking whistle.
One small lack here, no stack smoke! 
GRJ, The stack smoke is lame. I need to get inside and see why.
It is the same on all 3 of my G scale Challengers too. The G scale Hudson puts out 10x more smoke??
I need to get with HW and figure out what the ash pans are that need altering for the oil burner model. Might not be worth it?
Those black 1/2 tube shaped things on the sides of the fire box??

A sucker that size should have lots of smoke, gotta' fix that! I'll bet that smokes like a burning building when it's working right!
MTH should talk to this guy! I think they may need the extra help in design.
I thought the BB had dual smoke ports? And the largest smoke unit?

It has rained so much, the yard is always wet. Some of my track base washes out or is soft. I haven't wished to risk this beast out there yet!
I can always fix the lame smoke unit. I can't fix everything. There's a leech in the pool.

No only o scale but the electronics are all the same

It's been discussed on the Wifi APP thread with a video showing the issues I'm having. So I figure someone at MTH has seen it.
Seeing that makes we want to tear out my yard (again) and put in some track this time. Somehow I don't think my wife would like the idea.

Thank you! It took a lot to get around the little lady. Several more boxes of track than even I expected. I still want more. I had a big yard planned that got scrapped. Now just a few tracks will be there outside with 6 more inside the garage.

Gotta' get that smoke unit running, it sure is impressive, even without it.
I wonder if the G scale PS3 can handle 2 smoke units like a ps2?
Are the smoke units the three-resistor models or a standard smoke unit? I think the same board is used, I don't see any special G-scale PS/3 board.
As far as I've seen inside my Challengers, there are 2 heat elements. I may add another? Edit: I just found there are 3!!
I don't know how the smoking whistle is powered? I don't know the limits of the board?
The G scale Hudson's smoke unit, works much better with the same looking components. The chamber maybe smaller?
If they're the standard 2-resistor smoke unit, the PS/3 board should have no problem with two of them. 3V PS/2 or PS/3 can handle two standard smoke units.
I just found 3 elements inside a older used G scale Challenger that I have. The wick was toast, stuck to the elements.
I'll need to check all the rest.
There is a G-Scale 3-resistor unit, I'm not sure how many models it's used in. Many of the One-Gauge models use the standard 2-resistor smoke unit.
I can only guess having looked at a few of them. This Challenger has 3 elements that are around O scale sized. The last one I looked at had 2, much larger G scale sized?
Yes, this had the same set-up as the Challenger's smoke unit. I'm getting there!
