These were discussed quite a bit during the last month as they didn’t make it in time for Christmas 2018.

In case you missed it several of the new MTH Christmas flats with LEDs (the Santa cars) are in. Among others, Charles Ro and Train World have them in stock.

Order yours now for Christmas 2019!

Yes, I was thinking yesterday when I saw the notice go up on the forum, how awesome is it that MTH has released these new items so far in advance of Christmas. Only 350 days until Christmas...2019.

Kidding and sarcasm aside, I did pre-order these from Pat's (dependable) and he called to say they are on the way. I'm assuming the new Christmas N6-b caboose is not too far behind. By the way, how appropriate is it for the caboose to be on the end of the Christmas rolling stock production run? I'll be excited to get them all.

And for those following a Catholic liturgical calendar, Christmas season doesn't actually end until the Monday after the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, which I believe is this coming Sunday. So, technically if I get these things on the track this weekend, MTH is off the hook for late delivery, or as Dicken's Tiny Tim would say, "God bless us, everyone!"

Mine came today. I'd give the Santa sleigh an A+. I like the Nativity car as well, but the paint is more flat than semi-gloss. Of the 9 Christmas themed flat cars I have, this is the only one with that type of paint. Nothing you'd notice when it's rolling around the track, but it just struck me as odd. Oh, well.IMG_0290
