For some reason, whenever my MTH 2-8-0 Consolidation comes into a right-hand switch from the branch, the lead truck doesn't want to straighten back out. It keeps going as if the curve continues, and derails.
It does it no matter what. Fast. Slow. Under power. Pushing. It just walks right up and over the rail with no hesitation and no provocation.
I can't see anything wrong with the locomotive or the switch. The lead truck swings freely. There are no dings, dents, bends or flaws in the switch.
