Hello everyone,

I have been using the MTH DCS App on my iPhone for many, many, years.... I have purchased the upgrade package etc.  I am able to operate switches and accessories.

Today , I go to run my trains and the app is telling me I have to upgrade to the  standard pack for $4.99 or the premium  package for $24.99 to operate my switches etc and run multiple engines...its acting like I am using DCS Explorer.

Any advice and suggestions?  How do I  remedy this situation?

Thank you.

Again, some update or something likely to the apple store- somehow invalidated the cached license on your phone or tablet.

Could have been any number of updates or just a certificate or other token expiration.

A simple refresh, while ensuring you are connected and logged into the app store account used when purchasing the license gets you a new cached token or certificate (whatever they are using).

I had the same thing happen to me. Funny thing is I have a dedicated iphone for my layout and only connect to MTH wifi and never use is to connect to internet. The must be something within the app that expires. Anyway I ended up deleting the app and reinstalling from app store and it worked. Only lost all my settings and had to reinstall all locomotives. My softkey descriptions were too

Already had this topic going since yesterday.

Thanks for your updates regarding this issue.

I know that there was another thread regarding this topic - I recall reading it.  However, after searching the DCS subforum and looking through your recent posts, I can't seem to find it - could you please repost a link to it?

On my layout, I bought the upgraded version for my Android devices, which work fine.  My iphone only has the free version.  When running an engine, I tried to change the smoke volume; the free version of the app told me to upgrade - I can't remember if the free version would perform this function before or not.  Should the free version be able to alter the smoke?
