No trains will explode. Hopefully everyone will be happy.
Marty, are you saying that if I run a train that includes a Lionel exploding boxcar, it will not so so in a tunnel again?
Good one Robert.
In know Barry & Marty. They both use Apple. The publicly unidentified Android testers also have to weigh in. (I know one & he's the crankiest old curmudgeon I have ever met.) Odds are that one or both categories will find some weird event, as the testers I know have widely disparate layouts and operational preferences.
Also waiting patiently on the next release of the WIFI APP.
However I intend to wait until the APP is fully released to the public and tested well beyond BETA.

Not me. I like being part of the second phase (phantom) beta testing program. You never know what is really going to happen when you touch an icon or have unexpected things happening when nothing should be changing. Rapid updates to fix things brings on new challenges. Keeps you on your toes and keeps the brain active

Where's the fun in that?
I'll purchase the minute it comes out. Any updates/bug fixes will be free so why wait.
I will purchase as soon as I can. As long as the E-Stop button works, what could really go wrong? :-) And considering how long this has been coming and the talent here that we know is involved with the beta, it will be solid enough. And like Gary said, bug fixes and updates will come and be free.
Tony
I'm on board to get the app as soon as it's available.
When I was still "working" I always volunteered my company to be a beta site for our software provider. It was a great way for the IT staff and front end users to learn by participating in the project.
I can't wait for the app to come out. Is it still scheduled for early April?

Umm, hello, the Premium app was scheduled for March, but March is now over. Another date missed by MTH. What else is new? I'm still waiting for a pre-order from the 2015 catalog that was never cancelled. If Apple ran their business this way, they would be called K-Mart, or is it Sears, or does it matter.
I predicted a while back MTH will hold off release of the app until the week prior to York. That timetable will allow its users to have their newly found operating questions and concerns answered and attended to be MTH live on the spot in person at York which will undoubtedly cut down considerably on MTH's customer service line being inundated and flooded with those same folks calling in those questions and concerns. Only time will tell if I'm correct.
