I have a 20-2432-1 UP Centennial - double diesel that I took the shell off this AM to fix the smoke units [ the wicks were pinched on the side of the resistors so I centered them ] and replaced the traction tire which came off at the Maker's Fair show at the Henry Ford Museum this last weekend. The BIG question is where do the 2 small "C" shaped rubber pieces go - besides falling out on the work bench??? The MTH web site does not have a parts diagram for this engine. Thanks Bruce

between smoke unit housing and fan housing keeping port open to blow air through. g
GGG does this seal the motor fan casting to the smoke element casting? Which way does the open side of the "C" go? Thanks Bruce
Yes it seals the air port. The C goes up. G
Thanks GGG I took the motor and smoke unit apart and lines are die cast in the resistor housing. I put a dab of glue on the rubber gasket and put both back in place. Both smoke units put out plenty of smoke now. Bruce
