Hi All.
New to the Forum. I have a question for the experienced members. I have A Hi-Rail Alco S-2 and would like to change to Scale wheels. MTH parts (DC0000020 and DC0000021) are out of stock. Is there another source out there for these drive wheels and axles that are compatible?

there is no other source I am aware of. However, we do have these 2-rail wheel and axle assemblies on order and they should be arriving no later than Feb 23.

How about geared wheel and axle assemblies WITHOUT TRACTION TIRES for 44 tonner (part number DC0000024.)
These would really help with the poor ground electrical pickup that these engines have shown.
I have had six such assemblies on back order since February.

The 2-rail wheel & axle assemblies for the Proto 3/2 trucks arrived this morning and were put into inventory! You can can find all 4 flavors under the following part numbers;
DC0000020, DC0000021, DC0000022, DC0000023.

The finished good packages of 2-rail wheelsets was something that was made by MTH Trains. We (the parts business) have no plans to make these wheelsets with packaging, just sell them individually as we are doing now.
