My Daylight Special Steam engine ran like a dream yesterday. Today I tried to run it to no avail. It starts up with sound and headlight. However when I put it in forward it dies as if I shut it down. Tried new charged battery, but still it dies when put in forward. . Any Ideas?

When it dies, do you get several seconds of shutdown sounds, or just silence?

have you tried a reset?

Check that the drawbar electronic connector hasn't come loose. Is your track clean?

Hello Rod, it will die and then a few seconds later it will come back to life.

I fyou have a separate test track with an alternate power source, I would try that, just to rule out layout/wiring problems.

If not, do other engines run normally?

Is it your only engine? Does the track power stay on? As above, loose harness?

Is there a derailment or a short anywhere?
