MTH Imperial S2 Steam Turbine (30-1395-1)

I have the opportunity to buy an MTH Imperial S2 Steam Turbine with PS2 (30-1395-1). Since I am unable to find the 2012 release and don't like the light grey smokebox on the 2019 model I was just wondering if there are any issues I should look out for (like the 2012 model needing a resistor) and if anyone had any clips of what it sounds like since I can't seem to find a video of it anywhere.
