Received my new MTH Genset and it is well done. I have rode behind this engine and it is currently in service as I post.

Very nice Marty. Colors are very sharp.
Well done Marty. Thanks for taking the time to share this with all of us. Jim
Nice loco, paint job is pretty cool
I just put mine into passenger service tonight. MTH did a great job on this engine!
Picked mine up Friday from Brentwood Antiques along with the MBTA or "T" commuter car 2 pack. I only see Genesis engines pulling the Amtrak/MBTA passenger Downeaster here in East Kingston NH. All our freights have CSX engines. Hats off to Mike at MTH for bringing us MBTA and Pan AM. The passenger cars are 18" and have people already inside them like Lionel used to in the early 2000's.
Now if I can get my TIU upgraded so I can get an MTH WIFI set.
There is usually only one Genesis on one end of the Down Easter but I did see 2 Genesis engines the other day in Wilmington Mass.
Very nice engine guys
Alex
Nice looking engine!! I really like the color scheme too, also very nice! Kind of reminds me of the MTH company colors and I think there was one other railroad that had similar colors, ACL maybe? I like all of those color schemes.

Thanks, Marty. I honestly know very little about the real railroads. BNSF is what I see around here all the time and is also my chosen road for my layout. I don't know a lot about it either...
Looks great Marty, good luck with it. You're bringing your RR into the 21th Century with modern motive power.
Are those stack flappers operational?
It seems small for you to have ridden behind it, but maybe you've been on a major diet.
John, the flappers operate and they give you extras. You need to open them as smoke volume will not do it. My railroad has all of today's modern engines as well as engines I grew up with and before. I have rode behind this engine (the real one) and it is in service in my area.

Those are some sharp looking gensets!!! Glad you guys got them. I get just as excited when I get my hands on Metra units here in Chicago.
