MTH New Hope and Ivyland Custom Engine!!

WOW! Pat, thanks for this great idea of producing this nice locomotive! 10 years ago we lived in Bucks County, about a 10-minute drive to the NH&I train station. I spent many hours there with my grandson and he learned the various engine types, including "C30-7". Great memories.

Wish it were Lionel as I do not run MTH nor plan to. I have the Lionel NH&I passenger set and actually moments ago ordered the add on car from the NH&I virtual store.

Great looking engine! While I have the Lionel passenger set with extra car and the NH&I #40 steam loco from METCA, I might get this one too dependent on price and how many will be made.

Btw, any chance of you having MTH make a NH&I caboose or an open air excursion car? NH&I fans need these made!

I took these pics in October of 2017 - it was sitting in the siding next to Bristol Rd in Ivyland PA - usually something sitting there / ready to be serviced or painted / freshly painted etc

Here are a few of my pictures of this large and beautiful locomotive at the station in New Hope. I hope the MTH version gets produced!

Have ridden the NH&I several times recently, big fan, so jumping on just about anything that comes out in O gauge.  Have the Lionel GP30 set, both the boxcar and the extra coach only available from the NH&I store, and of course the recently released METCA #40.  So will definitely order one of these!

Big question is will MTH get the maroon color right as opposed to the Lionel GP30?  The GP30 Excursion Set BOX had the color right, but the engine seemed a little too flat red.

For Pat at EZ-Catch - any insight into how MTH is going to research/color match?

MTH is very good with these projects, my shop has to approve the artwork anyway
