Normally I am pretty annoyed with all the sound effects that have appeared on the layout but I have to admit this one is very cool.
Color is much better than before. The slow moving spout adds also. My sweetheart had done one of her paint jobs on the water tower years ago.
The sounds are nice. I like the action of the counterweight and the squeak of the pulleys. This compares nicely with the Broadway Limited Imports model.
Great accessory for any layout. Large or small.
This is an early MTH water tank. I made some modifications, eliminated the oversize ladder and weathered it.

Just ordered 2 of them. Trainworld has them at $113.99 and free shipping this weekend.
I don't normally care for too much additional sounds on the layout but this seems nicely done, not overbearing and accurate with respect to sounds. I also like the colour change to red on the tower.
BUT....will once again change out that large ladder 
Is the new water tower the same size as the old one? The original has a good sized footprint.

Tanks could be all different sizes. The only scale issue was the climbing ladder on the original model, which remains on the new model, though there is lots of ladders available to correct this. IMO Mike CT.
