All locomotives with Protosound2 and Protosound3 have this feature, along with a running count of how many hours the unit has been powered up.

AFAIK, there is no legitimate way to reset either counter. I expect that the service guys know how to do it (a hard reset, maybe, which carries a risk of its own), however, that's not something that is user-servicable.

A good thing! To enable the user to reset either feature would defeat the point of having the feature in the first place. No different than an automobile in that respect.

I wasn't sure if there were any cases that would. However, if a new board is installed that will start the engine back at 0, and the motors will still have the wear from the initial board. This I know from experience... FWIW
