Hello again!

Since I've gotten no response from MTH to my e-mail and phone call, thought I would check here.

I am looking to replace a truck on my Railking 30-7209, PRR Gondola, as I broke the coupler.

I keep getting the "License Renewal" warning, and have not heard back from Midge at MTH.

Does anyone know where I could find the part number, so at least I can expand my search?

Gettin' frustrated!

Cheers,

Bill

Look at the MTH 2014 Ready to run catalog, page 35. They have some replacement trucks listed there. If those are not the ones, maybe someone else (MTH tech maybe?) will be along with the correct part numbers.

I think you can ignore the warnings if they are from the MTH site, they have been like that for a while. I have just bypassed them and had no problems. Other than that, keep calling until you get someone, I think they only answer the phone from like noon to 4 eastern time or something like that.

I gave up trying to get parts from MTH. Many on the forum rave about Midge and i have no doubts she is a treasure, but I have never been able to get to her. It's ridiculous how difficult it is to get parts through MTH unless you have an inside connection to the secret door.  I read here recently that MTH's website is being completely re-worked and will be released "soon" let's hope they are addressing the parts ordering issue. It's also almost impossible to find any of the parts diagrams for products on the website as well.

You might want to contact Brasseur Trains in Michigan (they have a website). I have ordered MTH parts from them with no problems; great service. They don't stock all MTH parts but might order them for you. Good luck

I can't believe it is so difficult to reach them. As they say, "That's no way to run a railroad!"

Thanks, again, and Cheers!

You are welcome. I have placed 2 parts orders with MTH, both by phone. One time I got through on the first call, second time I left a message and they called me back a few hours later. So I can't complain there. I could not find the parts I wanted on their website.

As mack says above, the new MTH website is nearing completion (according to Mike Wolf at the spring York presentation). You will then be able to see parts diagrams and information online about MTH products, and order the parts as well. (Of course this has been underway for a few years now, so we will see.)  As he also says a third party might be a good choice for parts also. In addition to his recommendation, GGG is a is a forum member here and also an MTH tech. He carries some parts and also does repairs and upgrades.
