I just had my Lehigh valley fa set fail with a dead short. I traced it to the trailing unit , the lead and B unit work fine. I went thru the process of elimination on the trailing A unit by unplugging the motors coil couplers and smoke unit from the slave board in turn and then all together. with everything unplugged from the board it still is a dead short. unplugging the board from the pickups it goes away. does anyone sell part or do i have to go thru MTH as it seems that the slave board is shot. Thanks for any help. Rick

Methodical trouble shooting
hi Rick check you email I can help you! Alan
Rick, It can be fixed and or replaced. I do these repairs. G
Was thinking my other option would be to convert it to TMCC as I don't have a DCS system any more. I have converted some conventional stuff with electric railroad Co. boards. I have had good lick with them.
Rick, Let one of MTH guys above fix this. I had a similar problem with a PA ABA. Its a simple fix and much cheaper than converting to TMCC.

I had the same issue a few years ago. GGG fixed it and I haven't had a problem since. I would recommend going this route.

I just need the slave board in the Trail A, you do not even have to ship the engine. Just undo the harnesses and 2 screws holding the Heat Sink bracket to the chassis. G
sent you an email. I need an address. Rick
