Mth passenger cars

After taking the screws out, you have to squeeze and twist the ends of the car to open it. It sounds violent but that is how you open them. 

Sometimes the twist seems pretty extreme.  However, first make SURE you have all the screws out.

its easy I have done 25 Railking pass cars have 5 more to do

Ok now I have taken 4 screws out of the bottom of the car. Where do you twist or pull to get the car apart. It all seems solid the whole way around. I thought maybe the bottom of car would slip out but it all seems to be one piece. I just don't want to break it. Is there any videos I can watch that demonstrate this. Thanks

hold car in both hands at end of car turn hands in opposite direction car should come apart

If you go to MTH website you should be able to download instructions for part number of your set of cars 

all Railking cars are the same, I used 30-69034 click on number then support, then click on symbol that looks like book, brochure w/instructions will come up read or print it,you should be OK

The roof comes off, it is solid at the bottom.

Ok great after getting over the fear of breaking it I gave it a twist and roof popped off. I was thinking the bottom would come off. I'm better now

Sometimes screws are hidden under the trucks. Turn them to one side and look under.

After you do the first one, the rest are easy.

The real trick is getting the roof of the Lionel 2400 passenger cars, it takes five hands!
