Last night I was finishing up placing buildings and scenery on my Christmas layout. After lighting this store, I noticed the artwork inside looks like a hardware or auto parts store.
I thought at first they just installed the wrong panel. However, I looked at the MTH website and the produce picture is the same. I didn't expect to actually see trays of Pierogies inside. I which they would have used the interior from a bakery or something food related.
I looked at the pictures of the "single store corner store" they have on the site. Most of the windows are greyed out. But all the other stores that can do show the interior art work seem to match the theme of the store.
I was very excited when I spotted this in the 2019 RTR catalog and ordered it the next day. My LHS didn't even have prices for the catalog items yet so I told him to just put me down for one.
Its to late to return so I will put it on the side for now and customize it later. Maybe frost the windows or install window signs to cover some of the windows (Kielbasa sale, etc.).
Posting the as an "heads up" for anyone considering purchasing this item.
