I am looking for the pin connector type/style for this harness. I purchased this engine from cabin fever when MTH was auctioning off their inventory. This is a project engine as I knew it was not operating. It’s in great shape. Just missing some proper wiring. The smoke unit fan wires (grey & green) are not in the connector. If it is better to buy a new harness then would this be the 30 position connector harness #29 in the parts diagram shown? It appears out of stock.

If you just need a few wires and the connector body is intact, any of the 1mm pitch connectors for PS/3 will do, just steal the wires from any harness. I keep the extra wires from diesel upgrades for that very purpose. MTH doesn't seem to have any of these harnesses in stock right now.

thank you.that is a great idea. I actually do not have any PS3 spare wires or pins/connectors though. I was thinking of just ordering the pins due to that reason
Unless you're really good at crimping tiny contacts and have the correct tool, I suggest against trying to crimp the 1.0mm connector pins.
I get about 50% good crimps and I have the tools and have done a lot of connector crimping. I'm OK down to the 1.5mm pitch connector contacts, but the 1.25mm and 1.0mm ones are really difficult to hand crimp. Maybe if I had the $500 tool specifically made for only that connector it might work out better. Truthfully almost all the cables you run across with the tiny contacts are machine crimped.
