I am not sure whether you mean the six cars sets where all the cars are the same or whether you mean the six car sets by Road but either way I agree with you.

I meant where the cars are all different. Like a box car, tank car, hopper car, a gondola, a stock car and a caboose. The cars would all be the same road names.
Like Pennsylvania, Chessie, Baltimore and Ohio, Penn Central and New Haven.
Don't forget NP and GN !!

Using the MTH website to refresh my memory, and referring only to RailKing, there were 6 car freight sets in:
NY Central, Wabash, Southern, CNJ, PRR (2), CP, UP, GN, L&N, B&O, Conrail, EMD, NH, NYO&W, Reading, VGN. Noticeably absent - SF, SP, CNW, WP, B&M, C&O, NP.
After the end of the 6 car same roadname sets, MTH mixed it up with unit trains for a while, like a NYC Pacemaker 6 boxcar set, and a Chessie 6 boxcar set.
