I second the New Haven I-4.. They would sell better than Hotcakes... New Haven stuff has a very loyal following, and always is a sellout...

A friend of mine ordered the Railking version of the 6467. Railking or Premier, it really is a beautiful model. I'll take some photos of the Railking version and post them on here when he gets it home.
Thanks Pete! That would be great!

Following up on this conversation I finally have photos of the Railking and Premier NYC Battleship Gray Pacifics side by side. The Railking version (30-1767-1) on the left which belongs to a friend of mine and the Premier version (20-3743-1) which belongs to me is on the right. There are some detail differences between the two models but the paint schemes are pretty much identical. Both are beautiful models and a lot of fun to operate.

I am curious, does the Erie version have the Elesco feed water pump on the Engineer’s side of the boiler, ahead of the air compressor?
I have the Lionel K5 in Erie and they omitted the pump. It was easily added, using a pump detail from Lionel...

Tom, both the Railking and Premier versions of the Erie 4-6-2 are equiped with the Elescofeed water heaters and the Premier version appears to have the pump on the engineers side (at least it dose by the photo from Mr.Muffins) and the air compressors are on the fireman's side of the locomotive. The Railking version appears to not have the water pump detail on the engineers side judging by the photo on the MTH website. First photo is the Premier version and the second is the Railking version, hope this helps.
Thanks Pete. I looked at photos of real Erie Ks equipped with Elesco feed water systems and some appear to not have the pump. Interesting.
The look I was going for was like in the B&W photo. The last two pics are of my Lionel K5 with the feed water pump and related piping applied by me, using Lionel parts.

There should not be a feedwater heater pump on the engineers side of the engine. The MTH rendition appears to be pretty accurate other than the visor is missing on the headlight and the running boards should be trimmed in silver, not white.

The Elesco feedwater pump is always mounted on the fireman's side. That's where the water connections from the pump and to the check valve are set up on the heater tank itself. There may or may not be an air compressor along with the pump on the fireman's side.
