I'm just starting to try out my newly laid track on my first layout. I am having an issue with my MTH Premier PS2 gg1 stalling when it enters a Lionel postwar tubular switch. Can you please suggest something to correct this problem? I am using post war Lionel tubular track on the entire layout.

On the straight or curve? I love tubular track, not so much the old Lionel switches. I know you must be using 0-72 switches. The MTH GG-1 is a good runner and should not have an issue.
Could be the switch does not have continuity on the center rail, but if other engines do...than most likely you have an engine issue with a broken wire on one of the center rail pickups, or your outer wheels are real dirty. G
