MTH PS 2.0 circuit board from a 2003 E-6 ABA B unit engine. The B unit engine had been converted to a stand alone by the person I purchased it from, and I unfortunately screwed it up:
While attempting to quiet a noisy fan motor, I was using a 9-volt battery to cycle the motor back and forth as I had seen on a help video. As you may be already shaking your head, you will no doubt be unsurprised with I saw a puff of smoke rise off the circuit board and I uttered, " oh noooo.....". The engine no longer runs at all, and instead I get a repeating click from the speaker. I've attached photos to show what the board looks like, I am looking to replace or repair the top board. I've read other threads, but can not determine if any are relevant since I am not sure exactly what part I am looking for. Does anyone know from looking at the images what I need to look to replace? If this is a board which can be unplugged in several places from the engine and replaced, then I can do that. If it is more complicated and needs to go to a shop I would be thankful for that advice. Given one small component of the board burned (circled red in the second post images below) is it possible that I should just see about getting that piece repaired?
