Well I seem to have an issue with my PRR premiere H3 2-8-0, it starts up with sound but no lights and no smoke, and it will not move. Brought it to my local hobby shop and they couldnt fix it saying somethings wrong inside (im assuming something with the wireless tether) thought before I send it out i would ask her first. Thanks

lake,
It's almost certainly a wireless drawbar (tether) issue.
Make absolutely certain that the drawbar is firmly seated at both the engine and the tender ends. When connecting to the tender, you should feel the connection "snap-in" when you firmly but gently press the drawbar plug into the tender's socket with one hand while firmly gripping the tender with the other hand.
You might try laying the engine on its side while connecting the drawbar.
Has the engine ever worked properly in the past?
I've had somewhat similar issues with PS3 locomotives. If there are lights on the tender, see if they light up. In my situations, the tender would remain lighted with sound and the engine would be dead. It did end up being a wireless drawbar issue.
Best of luck!

Could be drawbar solder joint failure, could be wire connector failure (tender or engine side), could be bad board in engine. Tech can sort it out if your not good with electrical trouble shooting the wiring. G
To answer your question Barry, yes the loco always worked fine, I got it 2 years ago! It was working fine one day, then the same day it stopped working. Pittsburger I will go check to see of i have lights on the tender
GGG im not too familar with electrical conponents as of right now, Also with my luck i would make it worse.
