The new MTH R-T-R catalog has sets that come with a DCS Commander which I assume is a limited use remote. My question is if I already have a TIU and remote, can I use my existing remote without reprogramming the engine that comes with the set? And if so, can I use the remote Commander with that engine also? I thank everyone for your help. Paul
All MTH engines are shipped with the ID value of #0. Anytime you reset an engine it goes back to engine# 0. The MTH DCS commander only runs engines on number #0. When you add an engine to your standard DCS system it reassigns the number to an unused number between 1 and 99. You can run your RTR set with your standard DCS system and the number will be reassigned. You will have to do an an engine reset to before taking it back to run it on the Commander.
