MTH Railking Imperial Diesels

Hello everyone:

I own an MTH 30-20126-1 Railking Imperial Virginian heritage unit and one thing that has been recently annoying me is the fact the inner wheel, closest to the fuel tank on each truck doesn't even touch the rail. This especially makes me a little bit irritated because my Lionel SD40-2 also has a blind wheel, but can you can't even notice it. So, the question. Can I replace the wheel on the Virginian unit to have it touch the rail and make it look more prototypical? Has anyone else tried this?
