We got my son a MTH Pacific for his birthday and the Remote Commander to get him started. He loves it, and WOW is that loco a smoker! On that note, how often should it need refilled, seems to be going through the fluid quickly.
Anyway, back on track... The Remote Commander works great on the main line, but will not work at all on our block siding. It is an open end siding with a toggle switch connecting the center rail power. It works fine with conventional, but not at all with the remote. Also, he only has a O36 figure 8 fast track so I only have one power supply (this is on the opposite side of the 8 from the siding). I have tried having the block turned on when the power is applied to the track, but no dice.
So what is wrong? Do I need another drop on the mainline near the siding? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
