Did MTH update ScaleTrax? I have a bunch from 2008 and do not recall it snapping together.

The Flex does not, the sectional does but it requires finesse, I use a pair of short needle nose pliers.
I recommend Rich Battistas videos, he shows you how do do it all and he uses the Scaletrax.

I agree that the easiest way I found to connect the ScaleTrac is to line the pieces up paying attention to the copper connectors and pinching the ties with needlenose pliers. A breeze
