I have an MTH 200720 Silver Bullet Reefer Car which dispenses beer cases. When I press the control to send current to the car there is only a humming noise. It appears to be stuck. I tried to take the car apart but the plastic top will not separate from the base of the car. Any advice would be appreciated.

You do have the Silver Bullet engine on the track also and located within 6 feet as it is needed to send the correct signals to the reefer to operate. JP
No, I purchased it several years ago as a stand alone and it operated with no problem
They operate in conventional or command mode. Conventional mode is triggered on an operating track.
