Paul,

How do you do this with DCS?

There's a 5-page section of The DCS Companion 3rd Edition, "Part V - Advanced Features and Functions, 5. Subways and Trolleys", that's dedicated to operating subways and trolleys under DCS.

Alternately, there's a much less comprehensive discussion of subway and trolley station stop programming under DCS on pages 142-143 of the latest DCS User Manual, available for download from MTH by clicking here.

DCS Book CoverThis and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!"

This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at OGR’s web store!

Paul,

I am guessing if it can be done for any PS3.0 engine, subway set or not?

That's not correct.

Only engines with Transit Station Announcements can be programmed with automatic station stops. This would include only PS2 and PS3 subways, trolleys and other specific engines. These other engines include the PS2 North Shore Electroliner; PS2 3 volt and PS3 Doodlebugs and the MP54; and perhaps a few others.

Paul,

would that only apply in conventional mode? How about via DCS?

No, the same is true under DCS and conventional mode. All that's different is how the programming is done.

The engine's instruction manual describes how to do so in conventional mode. My previous post related where to go to find out how to do so under DCS.
