Well hopefully the items I order this time from the new catalog will not be cancelled. and I hope to see new never made before diesels, electrics, and steam. if they do make new american items they will get orders from me, if not the other manucfatures will get the biz as I have done the last few catalog. I do believe MTH when it says american biz is down, I also believe the reason is there has been a downturn in new Items something which made MTH a biggie in the american market in the past when they came out with what folks wanted and they gave. We will see.

I too would like to see some New MTH Steam, but cannot deal with O-72 minimums and the cost of Premier.

While I understand the desire to Pump the catalogs out at the York Event, I really cannot understand why those of us paying to get them through the Club get them so MUCH LATER. They should be shipped to us to arrive the same week as York dag nabbit!!!

Yes, indeed they should!  The club members (I'm not one of them) certainly deserve first priority.

If you want to know what's in the catalog just wait till somebody post it most likely Wednesday night when the dcs group meet.

This comes up every York, why don't MTH or Lionel send their catalog to their  club members first, who cares!!!!  This is the way it is done and has been for years. Are we kids here? A little patience go's a long way

The truth be told, nobody should really be overly concerned about who gets a new catalog first.  Means next to nothing since the majority of the items included are not even in production and some never will be.  We no longer live in the age where the Lionel catalog came out in late summer or early fall and virtually the entire lineup was on dealer shelves (back in the day when there were dealers on just about every street) before the Christmas shopping season (which started the day after Thanksgiving).

But it's the law of being the first kid on the block...

Besides, once the new catalog's out, people can officially start asking: "What's in the next one and when will it be out?"

What I really love is when somebody "liberates" a dealer's copy and puts it on ebay right away...
