Any suggestion for what to use to secure the poles? The hole in the base doesn't seem to allow for a screw.

Small brad, or a dab of glue

Great solution, they are tiny!
Atlas O track screws will work.

Thanks. Those screws may be #4 and too wide, but I'll try them and see.
The Atlas O track screws that I have measure .101 diameter measured over the threaded portion. They are 3/4 inches long from under the head to the point. I guess that makes them a #3 screw according to the chart that I found on line. I have used them in almost all of MTH's different types of signals.
I fear that with the MTH announcement, their signals may become very difficult to find.
If you only need a few, email me and I will send you enough for several signals.
Happy railroading,

I use Atlas N scale track nails and a small pin vise to make a starter hole. Tap the nail in with a nail set.

Here is how I did it.
Thanks.
So many great ideas!!!
Hot glue works perfect. I have 4 mounted with it, no issues.
I’ll try the hot glue - Great idea! I used wax and one of the signals holds then starts to tip over after a few days. Hot glue should hold it much better.
